Many items can be recycled but only certain items are acceptable in Delaware’s single-stream curbside recycling program. “Single-stream” recycling is where all traditional recyclables such as paper, plastic containers, cans, glass bottles and jars, cardboard, and cartons are placed in the same container (cart or dumpster), separate from your trash. Delaware only accepts certain items because of their ability to be sorted and then sold to a market for further use.
Place only the ACCEPTABLE items below in your curbside recycling cart or dumpster. All items must be loose, empty, clean, and dry.
