Return-It Express & GO

Express & GO is the new convenient Return-It drop-off station being piloted at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Campus. 
Did you know your empty soda cans, juice boxes, plastic bottles and other beverage containers could be worth some extra cash? When you purchase refundable beverage containers in BC, you’re charged a deposit as a part of BC’s beverage container recycling system. When you return your refundable containers to a Return-It location, we give you all your deposits back!

Express & GO revolutionizes the recycling experience by allowing pre-bagged beverage containers to be dropped off without the need for sorting and counting. Bring your unsorted containers in transparent plastic bags to the Express & GO station — we’ll sort and count your containers for you and credit your refund to your online account.

Powered by solar energy, the unstaffed station is housed in a repurposed shipping container that opens early at 7 am and closes late at 10 pm to accommodate your busy schedule.

How does it work?

1. Sign up for a free Return-It Express account
2. Print your labels at the bag label kiosk. Bag label kiosks are located at nearby locations like coffee shops or grocery stores
3. Place your unsorted containers in a transparent plastic bag and tag your bags, one tag per bag
4. At the Express and GO station, open the door using your unique PIN, drop off your bags, and GO!
5. We'll sort and count your containers and credit your Express account with your deposit refund
