Various items can be recycled, reused or safely disposed of through Facilities Services. Please note select items require specific pick-up request forms.
If you have items that you know need to be disposed of, recycled, or are broken beyond repair follow these instructions:
Generally, if you are SFU staff and are unsure about what to do with any items, it is best to default to completing a Facilities' Maintenance Request - members from the team will arrange pick up for your department.
*Furniture, Batteries, Lightbulbs, Office Supplies, Scrap Metal, and Electronics are all considered surplus items and are not picked up through this stream (select “Routine Surplus Furniture and Equipment Removal” in the form instead)
