It is important to keep bicycles out of landfill and there are many places that provide recycling services. 

If your bike is in working order you can:

  • Sell it at a yard sale 
  • List it on a classified ad or material exchange site
  • Give it away
  • Donate it, some thrift stores might accept them

If the bike is no longer usable it can be recycled at a metal scrap dealer.
