Coffee grounds

Last Updated February 5th, 2018

No need to toss out all your coffee grounds - they can be useful after that cup of java.

Coffee grounds are acidic and a great natural fertilizer for roses, azaleas, evergreens, rhododendrons, blueberry bushes, camellias, and hydrangeas. Adding coffee grounds to the soil around hydrangeas can produce vibrant blue blossoms, because the extra acidity helps the flowers absorb aluminium, leading to a deep blue hue.
