People are not always certain how to discard of empty motor oil containers. After being used, an empty quart container might still have about one ounce of residual oil in it. These, so called, empty bottles that are disposed of annually [collectively] hold millions of gallons of oil. A single oil change can generate enough toxic waste to contaminate one million gallons of drinking water. Unclean containers often end up in landfill and can pollute the ground water.
