Plain paper greeting cards can be recycled with mixed paper. But not ones made with foil, metallic, sparkles or other adorments (such as ribbons, bows, buttons, elastic, etc.). If you can remove the restricted portions leaving just the paper part you can recycle that, otherwise they go in the garbage.

Each year millions of Christmas, birthday, holiday and other occasion cards are made and sold, that's a lot of paper.
