No need to toss these in the garbage, they can be reused.

Silica gel is a powerful desiccant and will absorb unwanted moisture, preserving and protecting stored items from damage from water, mold, mildew, and bacterial growth. You might as well put them to good use around your home to keep them from becoming landfill. Or give to someone else who can reuse them.
