Old textiles can produce a few cents a pound of revenue for charities that accept them - often Salvation Army is one that will (check with them). To make it easier for them to handle them, label the bag or box of rags as 'For Textile Recycling' so they know at a glance and can set it aside to be baled up and sent away to textile graders for further processing.
