Waxed Cardboard or Paper

Waxed cardboard and paper has a coating that feels waxy when you scrape it with your fingernail. These waxed items cannot be recycled with regular cardboard, but they can be composted. 

They can be cut or torn into smaller pieces so they'll break down faster.

Otherwise, they can be put in the garbage.
