WINDOW GLASS IS DIFFERENT FROM GLASS BOTTLES. 

Window glass can not be recycled in the regular recycle bin. Chunks of broken window glass in the recycling bin is not only dangerous, it renders the entire batch unusable. 

Recycling window glass isn’t impossible, but it may require calling around. Some companies accept broken glass and use it to make asphalt or other building materials.
