EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
THE GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY'S HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION FACILITY WILL ONLY BE OPEN THE FIRST WEDNESDAYS AND THE FIRST SATURDAYS OF EACH MONTH FROM 9 AM - 3:30 PM.
Located at the Central Transfer Station, 2 ½ miles East of Aberdeen on Highway 12
The Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the Central Transfer Station accepts moderate risk waste from households and small quantity generators. Materials used in the home identified by the Department of Ecology (www.ecy.wa.gov) as flammable, corrosive, toxic, or reactive when discarded. Most homes in Grays Harbor County contain one or more type.
This facility collects moderate risk wastes free of charge from county residents. Residents may drop-off up to 15 gallons each visit.
The facility also accepts wastes from small quantity generators for a fee and by appointment only when it is not open to residential collection.
Materials Exchange Area:
Some products brought to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility are still in usable condition. Instead of recycling or disposing of these still-usable items, they are available for others to use - free of charge. Products vary, but typically include paints, auto products and home cleaning items.
