Steel and aluminum food and beverage containers (including coffee cans, metal cookie tins, candy tins or biscuit tins) can be recycled in your curbside recyclig container or taken to either Transfer Station.
Food cans should be rinsed. Put lids inside (and openings pinched) so recycling staff aren't cut by the sharp edges and pinch the tops shut (to protect the collection staff).
Some Humane Societies accept drop offs of clean salmon and tuna tins for re-use as cat dishes
