If they are metal, they can be recycled in the metal recycle bin at the Transfer Stations. 

Whether metal, wood or plastic:

  • Rods still in good shape check at Habitat for Humanity ReStore as they might take them
  • Sell them at a yard sale
  • List them on: http://www.2good2toss.com/lewis/?content=lewis for others who might be able to reuse them
  • Give them away, someone might have a good use for them
  • Donate to a thrift store
  • Put at the end of your driveway with a 'FREE' sign
