Shrink wrap, also known as shrink film, is most commonly made from polyolefin plastics. When heat is applied, it shrinks tightly over whatever it is covering. The heat can be applied with a hand held heat gun, or the product and film can pass through a heat tunnel on a conveyor.
This wrapping is widely use for covering foods like cheese, meat and vegetables.
