The following hazardous materials are accepted at the East Lewis County Transfer Station in Morton during regular operation hours:

• Oil-based paint (free)
• Latex paint (only cans half full or more) (free)
• TVs ($25.00)
• computer monitors ($25.00)
• computer towers ($6.00)
• mercury-containing lights (up to 10 - no charge) for fees above that amount, see http://lewiscountywa.gov/publicworks/solid-waste-disposal-locations-rates-material-accepted
• propane tanks (free)
• used oil and antifreeze (free) (5-gallon limit per household, per day)

BUSINESS CUSTOMERS, SCHOOLS AND NON-PROFITS

The Hazardous Waste Program of Lewis County offers a hazardous waste collection program for conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQG) operating in Lewis County. To qualify for the CESQG program, a business, school or non-profit organization must generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste per calendar month. 

Small businesses qualify for free fluorescent light recycling when turning in 10 lights or less. Businesses will receive free recycling of straights lamps, CFLs, U-tube lights, high intensity discharge lights or specialty lights when 10 or less lights are dropped off on any given day. Please call 360-740-1221 for an appointment before bringing in your lights.

Fax the form back to the hazardous waste program coordinator at 360-330-7805.

The coordinator will price each item, total the fees for the work order and return the work order back to you. After receiving the completed work order, it is the responsibility of the business to call the hazardous waste program coordinator to schedule an appointment to bring in the hazardous waste. The fees are due on day of delivery. Form of payment includes: cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.
