Used motor oil is hazardous. It contains toxic impurities such as lead and cadmium, and should never be disposed of down the drain or in storm sewers. It can be taken to Snohomish County Recycling & Transfer Stations and Drop Boxes where there are designated recycle areas free of charge for residential customers.

There is a daily limit of 10 gallons a day. (Larger quantities accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility).
